artsFeed Project

A Scouts BSA Eagle Project by Piper Baucom

Hello West Raleigh! As some of you might know, I’ve been a part of Scouts BSA for about two years now. The time has finally come for me to do my Eagle Project. I have founded what I like to call the artsFeed project.

The artsFeed project combines the exhibition of local artists and a food drive into an outside festival for all to enjoy. How? We ask that festival participants bring a food donation as their "ticket" into the event. A list of suggested items can be found here. There will be live music, local art being sold, and even activities for kids.

Everyone is welcome! We encourage people to bring as much food as they’d like to donate, but the suggested minimum donation is 5 items per person. My goal is 2,000 pounds of food so let’s see if we can beat that!

If you would rather donate your time and talents, that would be wonderful as well. Calling all amazing artists and musicians in the congregation!!! Please consider showing and/or selling your art at the festival (you would keep the profits) or performing musically. Please feel free to contact me or even take a visit to my website for further guidance.

The festival will be July 30th, from 2pm-6pm in the courtyard

Bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, food, and any musical instruments you might want to use to sing along with. Please, please, come on out. And please share this flyer; the more people who come, the more we will have donated! Bring your family, your spouse, your dog. Anyone and everyone are welcome. If you can’t make it but still want to make a food donation? Please contact me and we will work out a way to pick it up from you!

Thank you all for supporting me through this journey. Huge shout out to Session for being so encouraging, I could not have done this without them. It has been challenging and I could not accomplish it without y’all. And a HUGE thank you for letting me use the Courtyard. Thank you, thank you and more thank yous. If you have any more questions, please contact me or even check out my website and hopefully we can get your questions answered!

I wish all of you Peace and Love,

Piper Baucom :)
