Christmas Letter

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! What a gift this Advent has been. Out of a charged political season with a church full of people who are sometimes weary from the journey, God’s Word has emerged as light in the darkness, “I am about to do a new thing. Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19).

We have born witness to that Way this Advent. We filled the fellowship hall twice in December – once with visible support for the Syrian refugee community and again when we shared in the annual Simple Gifts Dinner. Thank you, West Raleigh for being church – for the way that you love and support one another and for the way you turn that love loose in the world.

The time is close;
the world is waiting;
for a baby
about to draw his first breath
again into
THIS world.

What has come into being in him is life, and the life was the light of all people. – John 1:4

Have a blessed Christmas, dear friends.

I will see you in church,
